City mice versus country mice

I am back in Florence this evening and start at a different school tomorrow.

I made a quick reconnaissance trip to locate the school.  The hotel is quite close to the Ponte Vecchio and the school is quite close to Santa Croce, I have to walk right past the Palazzo Vecchio to get to school.  All in all good locations.  It will be a 10 minute walk.

One quick photo from the day.  An example of how Florence differs from the Tuscan countryside.

BTW – it has been roasting hot in Italy.  Tomorrow it will be 101 degrees, Tuesday a balmy 100!  No relief in sight for the rest of the week, at least.  Plus, the added heat factor of being in the city.
