Ah, the most infamous of the “little people” one might find in Ireland.
I saw two of the largest leprechauns imaginable on Grafton Street, today. Oddly enough, they seemed to be begging for money to be deposited into their pots of gold which would be a very unlikely act as a leprechaun would never expose his pot. Also, leprechauns earn their money by making shoes for the fairies and I don’t even think the economic crisis and possible default of Ireland would send a leprechaun to the streets!
Later in the day, we caught one having a quick smoke?!
Elsewhere around town, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto can be found dressed as leprechauns in the new Disney Store that has recently opened up.
Also, unbeknownst to me prior to this visit, there is a leprechaun museum in Dublin! Sometimes a thing strikes my fancy as potentially being worth the visit for the laugh (or ‘craic’ as they would say in Ireland), but I must be honest that I am not ‘feeling it’ about the leprechaun museum.
