What a difference a day makes!

Lord Almighty what happened last night?  Yesterday was gorgeous and sunny and in the high-70’s and I woke up to pouring rain and the high is only 51 degrees!

This would not typically be a problem for me as I just came from rainy, cool weather in Ireland, but I left any kind of appropriate shoe I brought from the U.S. at my mother’s in Dublin!  The only pair of non-sandal things I have are not weather-proof in any way.  I had to head out in my Tevas or I would have nothing at all to change into tonight when I go see the Lipizzaners perform.

I headed to the Liechtenstein Museum as I wasn’t going to let it get the better of me after being closed yesterday.  Well, it did kind of win again.

It was the summer palace of “The Princely House of Liechtenstein” (as in the country) and the family turned it over for our enjoyment some years ago.

The building itself is quite nice and there are pretty gardens. The art consists largely of works by Van Dyck, Rubens, and Bruegel.  Most of it a bit too dark (in color) for my liking.  Plus, it is a bit outside of the normal area one would visit in Vienna so I wouldn’t rank it high on the list of things to do.  It is in the area of the Sigmund Freud Museum, though, if one was wanting to “kill two birds….”.
