Silence of the lambs

On Sunday afternoon we were shuttled to the town of Puerto Natales with “Cher” and her husband who were also staying in this town on their way home.

They were staying at the “Singular” hotel and when we pulled into the site you could just see Cher’s back tighten!  The hotel is adjacent to a massive old, abandoned barn that looked at bit eerie.

When we pulled up to the ‘entrance’ (a wide mouthed barn door) she made a few remarks about the place and shook her head to her husband that she wasn’t getting out of the van.

I was intrigued, as these two seemed loaded so why did their travel agent put them here?  Cher remarked that it was very expensive, too?  I took a quick jump out of the van and ran in to take a look while their bags were being sorted.

It looks like the hotel is to the rear of this old barn and down a glass elevator.  Leslie later looked on line and the place has just opened up and is certainly in the “boutique” mode, it is just that the barn part can give off a strange aura.

Later we heard that the place is actually an abandoned abattoir (slaughterhouse)!

Can you hear the lambs screaming “Cher-ise”?
